  • Brush Twice a Day and Floss Once a Day

You should brush your teeth twice a day using a soft-bristled brush for two minutes daily. It is also suggested to floss between teeth once a day to control plaque, reducing the chances of developing cavities and gum disease. 

  • Continue Your Regular Dentist Visits

Don't miss your regular dental visits. It is advised to visit your dentist at least twice a year, i.e., once every 6 six months, for routine oral health exams.   • Have a Healthy Diet

Consume a diet with nutrient-rich food to pave a long way to maintain your oral health. Consider a balanced diet of protein, whole grains, vegetables, and fruit. A healthy diet promotes oral as well as overall health. It is necessary to cut on sugary foods as they make your teeth vulnerable to decay. Make sure to rinse your mouth with water after every meal and snack. 

  • Quit Using Tobacco Products

Smoking is injurious to health; everyone knows that. The nicotine and tar in cigarettes can cause gum erosion, teeth stains, jawbone loss, tooth loss, and bad breath.  

  • Replace Your Toothbrush Every Three Months

Dentists recommend using a soft-bristle toothbrush and getting it changed every three months. You can also go with high-quality electric toothbrushes. You should sterilize your non-electric toothbrush with hot water to kill the germs in it.
